Today I visited two different locations with some thrifting buddies and it proved to be very productive!
Side note: Sentences like that last one make me vaguely uncomfortable...anything other than "I'm having a baby!" or "My house is on fire!" doesn't really seem to merit an exclamation point. On the flip side, ending the whole statement with a period seems anticlimactic and like I couldn't care less that I spent the day with some of my favorite people and found some neat things to boot...
...
...
That seems like a fairly logical way to end a sentence.
I had a great day...
I enjoy tofu...
Just kidding, I hate tofu...
Tofu is probably my least favorite food second only to dried seaweed...
I found some really awesome grandpa sweaters today...
That works.
Fall Haul
Bandage skirts: I've got a new favorite clothing item, I like these for a few reasons - the first one being that a bandage skirt is the perfect way to avoid awkward crotch in leggings.
I call it as I see it.
I have two of these now, one black and one gray - each one ran me about $2.50
Gray Express Bandage Skirt $2.50 >> Retail $49.90
Forgive the sad appearance of this sweater, these things don't typically look great on a hanger but it makes up for it by being really cute on.
Thrift Price $4.00 >> Retail $20+ I don't recognize the brand...
Update: I just attempted to upload pictures of my other comfy sweaters to be paired with leggings and boots but I've reached the conclusion that it's far too depressing to see those sad things clinging to a hanger for dear life, just use your imagination and expect it in a fall edition OOTD.
Forever 21 Blouse $4.00 >> Retail $22.90
Wool Scarf, Thrift Price $2.00, I have not idea what the retail price is.
None whatsoever.
Mr. Rogers might know?
Nine West Leather Ankle Boots $13.00 >> Retail $75.00
Lucky Brand Jeans, for Brad (no picture, he put them away and I'm not moving from my comfy spot to track them down)
Thrift Price $6.49 >> Retail $90.00
Perry Ellis V-Neck, for Brad - same story I told last time.
Thrift Price $3.50 >> Retail $39.50
Money Spent $40.99
Money Saved $297.30
I'll take that,
Rae
